Powers and Duties. The Mayor shall be a full-time official and the
chief executive officer of the City. He/she shall take care that City
ordinances and state laws are observed and enforced and that all City
officers and employees discharge their duties. The Mayor shall have
the appointing and disciplinary authority as set forth in Section
2.02 of this Code and as provided in official City policy adopted
by the Common Council by resolution and incorporated into the City
Policies and Procedures Manual. He/she shall have such other duties
and responsibilities as are prescribed in the Wisconsin Statutes,
particularly Sec. 62.09(8) thereof.
